Review: (500) Days Of Summer

This past Sunday, Nic and I caught a late show of (500) Days Of Summer starring Joseph Gordon Levitt and Zooey Deschanel. This movie is 500 kinds of awesome!

The narrator of the film tells you that this is not a love story. It's a simple formula in that boy meets girl, boy falls in love, girl does not. But its so brilliantly executed in story, style, music, and acting that it makes it more poetic and beautiful then the formula sets out to be.

And although they say it's not a love story, I can tell you that it is a story ABOUT love and more importantly...hope. That when something like love, which can be so known to you and foreign the next, can lift you up and often times drop you...the movie's message is that you do eventually stand on your own two feet again.
